Recommendations for Safe Travel to and from School

SPEED

The speed limit through the village is 30 miles per hour. However the road conditions and presence of children of school/pre-school age necessitates much slower speeds.

PARKING

Please park considerately and do not block driveways/entrances to property.

Please note that the lane running alongside the church yard is a driveway leading to houses.

HOW CAN WE REDUCE TRAFFIC FLOW?

Walk

If you live within walking distance please walk as often as possible

Park and Walk

There are a variety of locations in the village where you can park easily and then walk to school.

Drop & Go

From 8.50am every morning a member of staff is on duty on the playground. You may leave your children safely in the care of the school from this time onwards.

School Transport

If you live within the school’s catchment area please consider using the transport provided by Northamptonshire County Council.

Escorting your child to and from the playground

Small children cannot be seen from many vehicles. The cars parked around the school adds to the danger. It is vital for the safety of the children that you escort your child to the school gate.
